The Annual Science Fair at UA Rich Mountain presented a total of 93 projects. Elementary school had 65 students, middle school had 26 students, and high school/college had 2 students.

Winners - Elementary School Level

1st place- How Did Hurricane Katrina Form? by Travis Rowe $200 cash and plaque.

2nd place Nails for Breakfast by Liliana Youmans for $100 cash.

2nd place Wall Mortar by Eli Eaton $100 cash.

There were four honorable mentions in Elementary school level for $50 gift cards, sponsored by Mena Walmart. Which paper towels are the most absorbent? by Bentleigh Vincent, Blackley Barker, and Rayleigh Allen; Dancing Popcorn by Albany Powell; Potato Battery by Camille Philpot; Bacterial Growth by Thaniel Copelin.

Winners - Middle School Level

 1st place – Hydro Solar Solution by Henry Salter - $200 cash and plaque sponsored by Diamond Bank

2nd place – Musical Colors by Annabelle Sprague - $100 cash

There were two honorable mentions in middle school level for $50 gift cards, sponsored by Mena Walmart — Introduction to Robotics by Jack Parson and Bullet Train (Electromagnet) by Cooper Rowe.

Winners - High School/College Level

1st place Cool Waves, Warm Waves by Aiden Lawrence - $300 cash, sponsored by Union Bank of Mena and plaque. Aiden will also receive a $250 tuition scholarship to UARM.

The UARM Science Club would like to thank all the participants and congratulate all the winners!  We would love to have more participants next year.
